Fracture and Orthopaedic Hospital was established in the year 1967 by Dr. G.S. Kulkarni and
Mrs. Shashikala Kulkarni. Due to their untiring work the hospital expanded steadily. It was recognised as a Post Graduate training centre by Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Medical Council of India, New Delhi, National Board of Examination, New Delhi and College of Physician and Surgeon, Mumbai
in the course of time Dr. Milind, Dr. Sunil , Dr. Ruta, Dr. Vidisha and Dr. Rajiv Limaye joined them and developed various super-specialities in orthopaedics. Due to the highly skilled and dedicated team of orthopaedic surgeons, the postgraduate institute became famous and a referral center for trauma and orthopaedics Patients from all over the country and from abroad poured in for deformity correction, for non-union and other specialities in orthopaedics
With the grace of God and co-operation of medical professionals & friends, the hospital has an excellent infrastructure with all modern equipments and will continue to serve the society in the years to come.
